Secret Teddy Bear Stash Jar
In this Stoner Crafts blog post see how I turned I teddy bear into a secret stash jar
I’m not a child, however, I still like teddy bears, but they are kinda useless.. just sitting there looking cute.
Well, I decided it’s time to put my Teddy to work, it’s time he pulls his weight around here and guards my weed stash.
I’m going to show you how I did it so you can also put your stuffed animals to work.
You can either read this blog post or check out my Youtube video. Whichever suits your style.
For this craft I used:
a Medium Sized Teddy Bear
Glue Gun
Jar of sorts (I used a glass spice jar)
Scissors
Well let’s get into it,
First I cut the head of my teddy bear then I pulled out some of its head stuffing
Next I sat there wondering if this can is still be considered crafting while my glue gun heated up.. what am I really doing with my life? 😂
When my gun was good to go, oozing out hot glue, I applied it all over the cap of my spice jar then I placed the cap in the bear's open head hole.
Now I had a jar with a bear head on it.
At this point I should have grabbed a Sharpie Marker and made a mark on the lid and the jar so I knew where the two lined up.
If the teddy bear head doesn't line up with the body, it's not going to look right.
Speaking from experience, I did not do that the first time and my teddy’s head was on backwards, exorcist style.
Lesson learned
On my second attempt I made the marks with my sharpie then placed the jar in my teddy bear’s body cavity and lined up the jar up with the front of its body.
I left a couple inches of the jar exposed so there was room to glue.
Using my hot glue gun I put glue on the first couple inches below the jar threading. Doing my best (not good enough) to avoid getting glue in the threading because the jar won’t work if you can’t screw the lid on. (another lesson learned)
Once there was glue all around the jar I slid the rest of it into the bear's body cavity until the threading was flush with my teddy bear’s neckline.
I applied a bit more glue around the top of the jar (but under the threading) and made sure it was well attached to the bear's fur and stuffing.
Then finally I could put teddy bear back together again.
If you pick up the bear you can feel the glass jar inside but just looking at it you would have no clue this teddy has a secret- stash.
I took this bear from a liquor store marketing gimmick to a dope place to hide my medical marijuana.
Obviously you could hide things inside him other than weed like jewelry, cash, keys or anything else that will fit.
